Interventional Procedures
We offer patients a wide variety of minimally invasive interventional procedures. Below is a list of some of the more common procedures offered. These procedures change as the technology changes but our goal is always the same. Provide patients with the safest most effective treatment to alleviate pain and improve quality of life.
Epidural Injection
Epidural injections are a common treatment option for patients with low back and leg pain arising from a problem in the spine. They can be performed with or without steroids. The procedure usually takes between 5 and 10 minutes and takes effect within minutes.
Facet Injection
Facet Joints are small joints that connect each bone in the spine to the next. These small joints tend to become arthritis with age and with decreased disc height. They frequently cause pain and stiffness in the low back.
Radiofrequency Ablation
For patients with chronic low back pain, RFA can be life-changing. Ablation therapy is now used to treat a variety of medical conditions. RFA can be used to treat chronic low back pain by blocking the pain signal. The procedure is performed in the office and usually takes 20 minutes, but the effects can last for years.
Joint Injection
Patients looking to avoid or postpone surgery on a painful joint often receive significant relief and increased function from injection therapy.
Nerve Block
A variety of nerve blocks can be performed to provide relief for ailments such as carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, chronic tailbone, and pelvic pain.
